NEW ZEALAND 12 NIGHTS / 13 DAYS

Day 01: Aucklandauckland

Arrive in Auckland, the City of Sails, Our local rep will be on hand to welcome you and help with your transfer to the hotel. Spend the evening at the hotel.

Day 02: Auckland – Waitomo – Rotorua

After breakfast at the hotel, travel over the forested Mamaku ranges to reach Waitomo. Enjoy a guided tour of the famous Waitomo glow-worm caves including an underground boat ride to gaze in wonder at the millions of glow-worms on the cavern roof. Continue your journey through the fertile Waitomo area to reach the thermal City of Rotorua. Check into the hotel and relax for the remainder of the day.

Day 03: Rotorua

After breakfast, visit Te Puia Thermal Reserve. See boiling mud pools and roaring geysers. Then go on to Paradise Valley Springs to see New Zealand’s trout, birds and wildlife before continuing to the Agrodome for a New Zealand farm show featuring sheep dog demonstrations, cow milking and an introduction to the stars of New Zealand’s sheep industry. Return to the hotel andkiwbird relax.

Day 04: Rotorua – Wellington

After breakfast at the hotel, travel south to reach the popular lake resort of Taupo. Continue south through lush farmland before arriving in the capital city of Wellington. Check into the hotel and relax.

Day 05: Welling –Picton – Kaikourawelington

After breakfast at the hotel, travel across Cook Strait, which separates the north and south islands of New Zealand, and into the Marlborough Sound with its sparkling christchurchclear waters and lush forests. Arrive in Picton, travel south through the town of Blenheim before reaching Kaikoura, a town steeped in Maori history and legend.

Day 06: Kaikoura – Christchurch

Leave Kaikoura behind as you turn inland and travel through North Cantebury to reach Christchurch, the Garden City. Check into the hotel and relax.

Day 07: Christchurch – Mt. Cook

Travel across the fertile Canterbury Plains and arrive at Lake Tekapo. Visit the Church of the Good Shepherd before continuing onto Mt. Cook National Park. Spend the night at Mt. Cook.

Day 08: Mt.Cook – Queenstown

Follow the shores of Lake Pukkai south to the small town to Twizel. Travel through the historic Central Otago region to Lake Wakatipu and the alpine resort of Queenstown. Check into the hotel and relax.

Day 09:Queenstown

After breakfast, relax at the resort or choose from a plethora of activities. You can go bungee jumping, speed away on a jet boat, sail beautiful fjords, take gondola rides or just enjoy a leisurely amble to absorb the gorgeous scenery.

Day 10: Queenstown – Milford Sound – Te Anau

Leave Queenstown and travel onward to Lake Te Anau. Enter the Eglinton Valley and journey through the breathtaking man-made Homer Tunnel to reach Milford Sound. Enjoy a cruise on this world famous fjord, dominated by the Mitre Peak and the cascading Bowen Falls. Spend the night in Anau.

Day 11:Te Anau – Dunedin

Journey across the fertile Southland plains. Travel through Gore and Balclutha to South Otago. Then onward to Dunedin. Check into the hotel and relax in the afternoon or examine first hand the area’s unique combination of cultural riches, fine architecture, and world-famous wildlife reserves.

Day 12:Dunedin – Chrishtchurch

Day13: Departure

After breakfast transfer to the airport for your flight home.
